You can add tasks you keep track of in notebooks to Outlook so that they appear in the Tasks folder when working with emails.

Create Outlook Tasks in OneNote

Choose the note you want to assign a task to.
Select Outlook Tasks from the menu.
Set a deadline for the task.
A small flag appears next to the note to indicate that the task has been added.

Open a Task in Outlook

Start Outlook.
On the navigation bar, select Tasks.
Click the OneNote task twice.
Work on the task.
To save and close, click.
Now, Outlook and OneNote have both been updated with the task.
To open the task, click the OneNote button on the Home tab.

Delete a Task

Pick the note with the task.
Select Outlook Tasks from the menu.
Decide to delete the Outlook task.
